Public Sector Account Executive (Contracts) - SkillBridge
We're looking for a Public Sector Business Development rockstar to join our team as a contractor! You'll be supporting our Public Sector Business Development team in finding and chasing down new business opportunities. If you're a whiz with the IDIQ process and have a history of success in developing and implementing killer business development strategies, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities
- Work with the Public Sector Business Development team to identify and qualify new business opportunities
- Create and implement winning business development strategies for the Public Sector
- Dive deep into market trends and competitive landscapes
- Find and target potential customers
- Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers
- Prepare and deliver awesome presentations to potential customers
- Negotiate and close deals
- Manage the sales pipeline
- Track sales performance and results
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or something similar
- Knowledge of the Public Sector contract negotiation process
- Solid understanding of the IDIQ process
- Proven track record of success in developing and implementing strategies
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

We do so primarily through the DOD SkillBridge Program, which provides opportunities for transitioning service members to gain valuable civilian work experience through specific industry training, apprenticeships, or internships during the last 180 days of service. Companies can experience two (2) to six (6) months of no-cost work from the service member, while the service member receives compensation and benefits from the DOD.
By partnering with mission-driven organizations to provide meaningful opportunities, Five and Fly, LLC aims to prevent veteran suicide in the five years following military separation by empowering veterans to find fulfillment in their civilian careers. We serve service members and their civilian employers with intentionality, unconventionality, and longevity in mind.
